At the beginning of November 2023, a group of SKBMP Engineers and Managers visited South Korea.
Their adventure began with learning about the history of the SK company. They saw how SK transformed from a fabric manufacturer into the second largest company in South Korea.
To better understand the purpose and direction of our company, the group went back to 1953 when SK was founded – then called Sunkyong Textile – and learned about the founders’ vision. Sunkyong Textile was founded in post-war Korea and was one of the cornerstones of the country’s reconstruction.
They also visited the research and development center. There, they exchanged experiences with Korean employees and learned even more deeply about production and quality processes. They now pass on the knowledge they have acquired to Polish engineers and operators.
The trip was not just about training and meetings. The group had the opportunity to learn about the history and culture of South Korea, which will certainly be useful in communication between SKBMP and the SK Group headquarters in Seoul.
Even though it was first such trip, we are sure it will not be the last. We hope that soon other SKBMP Employees will be able to boast of similar experiences.
